Background:The need for nurses of high integrity is a global concern. However, creating a culture of academic integrity (AI) in nursing programs that extends from academic programs into practice has been understudied. This integrative literature review examines strategies to promote academic integrity in nursing education.
Method:A literature search for articles on AI in nursing education was conducted using the following databases: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health, Education Resources Information Center, Google Scholar, and Academic Search Elite.
Results:The literature search yielded 11 articles that met inclusion criteria. Results indicated literature on academic integrity is less prevalent than literature on academic dishonesty.
Conclusion:Articles included in this review revealed a paucity of evidence on strategies to promote academic integrity in nursing education that could positively influence nursing practice. Further research is needed on academic integrity in nursing education. [J Nurs Educ. 2022;61(6):303-307.].
